American Amber ale is my idea of what a real beer should be – a hearty, full flavored beer with a perfect balance between the malt and hops. The secret to these beers is the extra dose of caramel malts to provide the sweetness, greater hop character to balance it, and then a nice toasty malt finish to leave you wanting more. This beer pairs well with rich and spicy foods, but won’t fill you up. It’s a beer that won’t leave a bitter taste in your mouth.
